Weekend

Well last weekend was pretty intense. A friend and I actually tried to raft up a river, in the freezing cold, at night. It was a good time. We cast off at 9:00 p.m. and made it quite a ways before we realized that we had holes in the raft and where in danger of sinking. Not a very good prospect when it’s snowing outside. So we pulled the raft up on the shore and made an improvised campsite from the raft and a sheet my friend had brought along (which he had procured from some drunk guys the night before)
So we tried to sleep till morning, because it would be a bad idea to try to go upstream in an inflatable raft, and we really didn’t know where we where. Se we figured that we would just carry the raft back in the morning.
I wake up at 3:00 a.m., freezing cold. I tried to stoke up the fire, put more layers of clothing on, but to no avail. So I woke um my buddy, explained the situation to him, and we decided to carry the raft back in the dark.
It took us about two hours to get back at around 6:00 a.m.
I went to sleep.

Dreams, so crazy sometimes (OK, most of the time)

Ok, so I just woke up. And in the process of doing so, I had one of those dreams you get when you’re half awake. This is how it went down. And be warned, my dreams are crazy.
(dream bubble starts here) A friend and I are examining this weird snake thing we had caught. By “weird”, I mean that it’s mouth was about halfway down its body. “Why?” you may ask? So it could use its head to chase small animals into its mouth (sweet, eh?).
All of a sudden, for no reason at all, pirate music started to play. We had a radio with us and I think it was playing out of that. Then the music changed. I was so confused and frustrated (I have no idea why). I started to mess with my radio. Changing the station/volume/power wasn’t helping. (dream bubble ends here)
In desperation I woke up and realized that the music had been my alarm all along.
Anyways, I thought it was kinda cool. I don’t know why I preferred pirate music to Soft Skeletons by Anberlin, but dreams are crazy, eh?

Books

Friends, I am reading a book. And guess what? It’s not even a book required for school. If you haven’t read Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card, DO IT. Then you can get around to reading the rest of the books in the series. I’m reading Ender in Exile as I type and I have to say that I am enjoying it immensely.

So if you where thinking about picking up a good book, there ya go ^_^.

Snuggies

So recently, in my oh-so-random conversations, I have been talking with people about the rather stupid invention known as the “snuggie”. Those of you who know what it is probably may have laughed at the mention of it.  For those of you who don’t know what it is, I shall explain. A snuggie is a blanket that wraps around you backwards and has sleeves. That’s all.

There’s always a good chance that there are a few of you who are sitting next to your computer, wearing a snuggie, and are about to be made fun of. It’s OK. There is a way way that you, despite owning a snuggie, can be cool to. I’ll cover that in a minute. But first, we need to cover some important snuggie humor.

Crazy huh? But I’ve figured it out. Snuggies could be cool IF (and only if) you use them for races. They’re so long, watching someone run would be hilarious! Wait… I guess tripping over yourself doesn’t actually make you “cool”… huh… well, I give up. IT WOULD BE FUNNY THOUGH.

1st post!

Well here we go, a blog. I have high doubts that this blog will survive more than about… three days. But we’ll see, eh?

I started this mostly because I am supposed to be writing a journal for comp class so I asked my prof. if it would be cool if I wrote a blog instead. Obviously he approved.

So I’ll be posting my thoughts, amusements, experiences and passions right here. Hopefully I don’t find out that my life is terribly dull.
